Derbyshire Handy Van Network
The Derbyshire Handy Van Network was launched in August 2008 and is a holistic service, undertaking a wide range of activities including small repairs and DIY jobs, minor adaptations, falls/accident prevention checks with remedial action, home fire safety and home security checks with remedial action, small energy efficiency measures and signposting Service Users on to other appropriate services. The network is made up of made up of 5 providers who deliver the service in designated districts and boroughs across the county. The scheme is delivered across all tenure and people who are aged over 60 or identified as vulnerable can receive up to 2 visits per year, free of charge.
