The theme shows the average price of property for the geography selected. For data viewed at local authority area and above this is for the corresponding month two years ago. Data at more granular level will be the average of the preceding 6 months to ensure a sufficient sample size. The data in this theme is based on data from Hometrack's Automated Valuation Model.
Overall price change last year
The theme shows the change in the average price of property over the time and geography selected. For data viewed at local authority area and above this is the change in the average price between the last month and the corresponding month 2 years ago. Data at more granular level will compare the averages for the preceding 6 months to ensure a sufficient sample size. The data in this theme is based on data from Hometrack's Automated Valuation Model.
Average time to sell in weeks
The theme shows the average number of weeks to achieve a sale for the latest month data is available (i.e. the time from the property going on the market to it going 'under offer'). The data is based on Hometrack's monthly survey of over 3,500 estate agents and is based at postcode sector level.
