Black & Minority Ethnic Communities Study

This study was conducted by Salford University and covers 5 local authorities in the south Nottinghamshire area. They are - Nottingham City, Ashfield District and the Borough Councils of Gedling, Rushcliffe and Broxtowe. It was supported by a partnership of public and voluntary sector organisations and community groups across the area.

Housing Investment Programme 2004-05

The Housing Investment Submission is an annual bid to the Government for financial resources. The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister prescribes the format and content for the submission and this currently consists of a Housing Strategy for the Authority, a Housing Revenue Account Business Plan together with separate Statistical Appendices for both the Strategy and the Business Plan. Since energy conservation is integral to the City’s Housing Strategy an annual progress report on achieving the Home Energy Conservation Act targets is included for completeness.

Housing Strategy 2005-08

The Nottingham City Council Housing Strategy 2005-08 is the first since the establishment of a strategic housing service for the City following the formation of Nottingham City Homes. The strategy lays out the broad challenges that we face in ensuring that we realise the vision of a socially inclusive City with decent homes and decent neighbourhoods.

Housing Needs Study

The Housing Market Study and Needs Assessment is an important part of the City's Housing Strategy. It seeks to analyse trends in local housing markets across the city and the wider conurbation, and looks at the need for affordable housing in the City. The research sought to make an estimation of the need for affordable housing in the City, giving close regard to key issues of demand, supply, cost and ability to purchase housing on the open market at prevailing market rates.

Housing Strategy Statistics

These pages provide access to a variety of housing related statistical information. Much of this is gathered from other publicly available sources and formatted to ensure the data is aligned with the local housing geography in the City of Nottingham. This means that areas, such as housing estates and neighbourhoods, have data that reflect their natural boundaries - where it is possible to establish those boundaries.

Homelessness Strategy

The Nottingham Inter-Agency Homelessness Strategy was developed to help the Council and our partner agencies to tackle homelessness and directly related issues and was published in 2003 according to the requirements of the Homelessness Act.
