Date of data:

Data supplied:
2006

The results of the private sector stock condition survey carried out by Cambridge Research in 2005.

Private sector housing includes owner-occupied dwellings and the private rented sector but excludes those let by housing associations and local authorities.

The estimates cover:

  • Dwellings which fail the Decent Homes Standard
  • Dwellings which fail the Decent Homes Standard due to:
    • being unfit
    • Inadequate thermal comfort
    • Disrepair
    • Non-modern facilities and services
  • Vulnerable households
  • Non-decent homes occupied by a vulnerable household
  • The proportion of vulnerable households in decent homes (PSA7)
  • Dwellings with a SAP rating less than 30

The results for each sub-area of the survey have been combined with the distribution, or spread, of conditions defined by the Building Research Establishment Stock Model ,to give a more detailed picture than would be possible from a survey alone. Thus the resulting maps and data are a more up-to-date and accurate model of housing conditions in Rutland.

See ‘Decent Homes’ for detailed definitions of the above factors
